DXbase 2007 will not register - Doubleclicking or Merging only causes registration data to be displayed on screen with notepad! Unable to use anything but trial mdb. There were several of these messages on the reflector, and at the time I had no interest as I hadn't yet had a problem.
Today it happened to me and Jack's suggestion of using the wrong registration does not apply this time. I tried to load DXbase 2007 on 3 different computers and had the above problem using the correct registration on all 3. When the registration data gets displayed with notepad it specifies "DXbase 2007". All 3 computers were using XP WITH SP3 and that turns out to be a key! I experimented with one of these computers. I uninstalled SP3, but had the same problem. The computer was reformatted, and windows XP reinstalled. Before SP3 was reinstalled I installed DXbase 2007, and the registration worked as advertised. Unfortunately this is not the computer I want DXbase installed on. I don't recall seeing a cause or solution. If I missed it, please let me know. I need to get DXbase 2007 loaded on one of the other computers. Thanks in advance for any help.
