OK Jack - all working now I was using the 2004 .REG file so I simply exported the Registery entry from my previous notebook as VE3SY.reg to a shared directory on my new Dell. I ran the new .REG file and it installed itself in VISTA.

We have had reports like yours where the user says they did everything correctly, got the correct response indicating that the registry was updated, but still the program stayed in trial mode. In every case, it turned out that the user was using an old registration file for the wrong version. I am assuming you are not using 64bit Vista.
