I used the default C:\Program Files location.  I did right click and
launched the Setup utility using the "Run as Administrator" option when
installing.   Not sure if that would make a difference.

I agree, something is different.  I suppose the only important thing is that

it works for both of us, albeit in a different manner.  Did you install DXB 
in C:\Program Files or did you install it at the root level?  Did you find 
the Virtual Path in your installation?  Since your installation is updating 
the mdb in the "main directory" you may not see the unusual behavior I have 
noted in the Dxbutility package.
