My bet would be that your bet is a safe bet.
I know that if I spent half a million$ in R&D and hardware to make this
java-base intranet/secure-communications/toaster-over I for one would NOT be
interested in upgrading to an OS which makes the Half a million$ into so
much toilet paper.

I would buy a supported distro of Linux/Unix and kiss M$ good-bye.
