Well, for me it's only a little faster :( The time between launching idea and the "Loading project." panel is shown is on a par with 506. >From then on, loading the project still takes 60 seconds+
Total cpu time loading idea 507: 20 seconds. Total cpu time loading idea 508: 1 minute 20 seconds. Total cpu time loading idea 509: 1 minute 10 seconds: 10 seconds loading idea, 60 seconds loading the project. Switching to a small project: no problem. Switching back to my project: 60 seconds. Can it be because of having jdk1.4 as the client jdk in the project? Idea itself runs under jdk1.3.1.
