Well spotted and thanks for your patient responses. That mismatch is in the emails .. to cover some other possibilities I have downloaded and burned another iso and reinstalled. This time I also swapped the use of the connections over. Just based on a random thought there might be something wrong with one of the network cards. the cards seem to be Ok though.. The gateway record is created automatically when you set an eth to External (WAN) with a DHCP IP. It is pointing to the correct eth. I'll put it all back to the other way to stop confusing things.. :-) Since then I have since been messing with all sorts of static rout settings .. still no extra luck though..
Can eBox actually use two network cards? !?? How are you using it ?
