Hi,

I'm very new to MIDP and Java programming, so please excuse
my ignorance in what may be a simple problem

I am running Windows XP Home, and have installed Eclipse 3.2.0
M20060629-1905, EclipseME 1.5.5 and Sun's WDK 2.5beta. This
machine hasn't been used for Java development before.

The problem I'm having is that EclipseME is having trouble finding
the Sun WDK devices.

KToolbar in Sun WDK works fine. I can compile sample MIDP1.0
programs, run them on the emulator, and transfer to and run them
on my Nokia 3510 phone.

Eclipse can compile and run console Java apps, using
Sun JDK 1.5.0_08. My PATH includes the JDK bin dir, but no
other Java-related dir.

I go to the J2ME Device Management page, and try to find the WDK
devices. I click Import..., specify the top-level WDK dir, then click
Refresh. I can see that the tree gets traversed, but it doesn't find
any of the WDK devices, or anything else.

I did my best to follow the EclipseME install instructions. And I
erased the workspace/.log file, then tried again. Nothing in the .log
file.

Can anyone give me any advice on why EclipseME can't find the devices?

Thank you,

Mitch.
