So, you obviously live in a different world to me. In my world doctors are
not altruistic, they do what they do for the money. It is because they are
paid too much that they don't do as good a job as they could.
Psychological research has shown that the more you pay someone the less
they feel they like the job. This was with tedious tasks. the rationale
is that people need a reason for doing something. If they get great wads
of money then theres the reason.
How dare you say that some people contribute virtually nothing. What is
money for? For a standard of living. What gives you and Joy the right to
say that some people should have a lower standard of living than others.
And Joy I'll say it again - that is classism. This is not flame bait.
Flame bait is when I say something that is personal about you and I am not
I am saying that your words belie your classist belief system. I just want
you to either acknowledge that you are classist or rethink your position
vis a vis wages.
