Hello Al,

You asked an important question that I too have been wondering
about since I've been online for over two years now.

How can we communicate online without being at each other's cyberthroats?
I am in the process of discussing this issue at Virtual College.

I have three answers for you:

1. Read the Nettiquette FAQ.
2. Net users will have to learn and consciously apply principles of
non-violent communications. (I can tell you more about this.)
3. I also have some rather unusual to offer--a free email course--
in Ecopsychology which reaches to the roots of this problem.
More more info finger [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
look up "My Plan File" at http://www.clemson.edu/~claudir/

[My Web Page is still in the making; please excuse the disorganization.]

4. Look up ConflictNet at http://www.igc.apc.org/ for services in
conflict resolution. I believe that we will need OnLine community
    conflict resolution services.

I guess that's four answers now... ;-) Oh, and I can also tell
you more about Virtual College if you wish.

Cheers,
Claudia
