Regarding Disney movies such as Pocohantas and Beauty and the Beast -

Since people pointed out some negative messages that can be inferred from the
movies - I would like to point out a few positive messages -

Pocahantas, the character in the movie, was portrayed as a "free-spirit."
The message here for our daughters is be a "free-spirits." Many young woman
grow up to be prisoners because they were never taught FREEDOM - teaching them
freedom of spirit at a young age is a positive message.

Beauty and the Beast - A positive message for both young boys and girls from
the movie "Look for the goodness within." Especially in today's world where
there is SO MUCH vanity/ Also, there is GOOD in everything. Do not let the
darkness frighten you but look for the goodness. Beauty, guided by kindness,
was not give up but to perserve to find some good in the beast WHICH SHE DID!
Not to give up - what a message! There is another message here - the good
spirit defeating the darkness with the light of goodness and hope. We should
teach our children hope - this is a postivie message of hope.

You can pick these movies apart with a childlike abandon or you could dig deep
and derive some good messages to pass along to our children to help them grow
up to be free, good-spirited, persistant, kind and hopeful adults.

Looking for the goodness, free from the madness, I walk in light and hope for
the best. Thanks! Angela [EMAIL PROTECTED]
