A good point - if, who she was - was just a mermaid - maybe she is a multi-
faceted girl with more to her then her mermaidedness - she was a singer,
giving up her fin to walk with the man she loves on an Earth she has only seen
by the sea - in the show she is always portrayed as someone who is curious
with humans - maybe it was more of a self-improvement adventure for her to
become human - to add to her many facets - to become more through the power of
love. She wasn't giving up singing, love of her family, she was following her
dream to learn more about humans - how better than to become human - hey,
there's a message "Follow your dreams!" Thanks! Angela
