    You know, reading this post was worth the momentary upset that I 
    felt after reading the Wood post (HMMMNNN, "wood post"??? - 
    something about that image...) ;-)
    
    Speaking for myself, as a 48 year old professional woman, I know 
    that I have been discounted, passed over, shut out and even 
    plotted against in my male dominated profession -even though 
    scientists SHOULD know better.  
    
    My outrage was because, to me, this was another Blame-the-victim 
    statement.  The prevailing message that I heard was, "If only we/I 
    would learn how to do it right, then we/I could acheive..."
    
    "Listen to women for a CHANGE!"  "Listen to women FOR A change!"
