As someone who used to apply to many federal and state jobs, it's amazing that it's open for that long! I've often seen the jobs I wanted open for only 5 days. That's really hard when you're working a temp field job out in the boonies and looking for longer-term work; you get home and find the job you want closes at midnight, it's already 9pm, you're exhausted and filthy, etc...
