Thank you everyone who contributed to this thread.  You have reminded 
me of
the bad old days when I first was learning this job.  Two VAN conversions
later and a couple of years time have faded the bad memories.

        If you look about, you can find "facilities" available where you no 
longer
have to worry about interconnects, funky modems, or even WebForm
malfunctions.

        All I have left to do is convince one state (HA!) to accept our 812s 
from
either the Internet or a van and I'll have eliminated my last modem dial up
(Yay!).

        Thanks for the memories, gang.  You've helped me count my blessings 
today.

With GXS you can approve individual Trading Partnerships one at a time and
can you can see who comes in through an interconnect.
