You wouldn't think so if you were sitting next to a computer that was
vibrating off a table because of the noise.  There are communications
characters, FS, RS, US, & GS, that work quite nicely but I've rarely
seen them used. I think once.  Perhaps there's a reason but I don't
know what it is.
