We have both VAN customers and AS2. I generally lean towards VANs if
the customer doesn't explicitly require AS2 or if they're lower volume
simply because of the way we're billed. We pay by seat license for AS2
and I believe it's by character block for VAN which is cheaper for the
smaller customers. Generally, I setup lots of VAN customers and my bill
doesn't change, so I stick with that when I can. If I didn't have such
a healthy disdain for FTP (changing passwords @[EMAIL PROTECTED]) I would
probably
lean that way =).

To answer your question, without trying to be vague... it depends. If
all of our customers were high volume customers then I would probably
lean towards AS2. Again though, it all depends on how you're billed and
what sort of trading partner break down you have.

Subject: [EDI-L] AS2

HI I was discussing the AS2 vs. trad. EDI. Is it in fact cheaper to use
AS2? I have been told that it is more complicated that is why people
prefer Traditional EDI if they have the choice. Also true?

Thank you,
Adam
