Thanks for coming on Art's defense, I wouldn't have expect less for after all
you're also a Softshare reseller. Are you not?
I have nothing against Art. As I stated, I respect him and appreciate his
comments. But there's a limit.
If you think the phrase "..If you want it to be inexpensive and easy, invest in
Softshare ECS.." is not trying to sell anything or 'was merely commenting on a
huge misconception..' then obvioulsy I'm over reacting.
Nevertheless, I do know when someone is trying to sell something and I
also imagine that there may be others in the group that would like to sell
other stuff too, but they don't out of respect for the group. But in the
end, wheter Art's comment are 'commercial' or not should not be your call or
mine but the moderator's.
And you're wrong, neither surfing the web nor watching TV tick me off. I enjoy
some them and I avoid others if I so choose. However, none are neither free nor
hiden in 'comments'. That's why I ask for the [SALES] tag in the Subject. Is
that too much to ask?

Users come to this group for information - be it good, bad, expensive or
cheap. Many ask for 'advice' (re: free training) and others take
offense to
that too. So what should everyone simply reply 'Errr..Thanks for posting.

I take it, based on your own comments, that you must be a reseller as well
and it gets under your skin when others (you can't compete with) make
references to product ABC being better, cheaper and simpler to use. If
you're not a reseller or consultant then learn from Art's comments -
Softshare or not. It can help you do a better job by saving your company
some $$.
I guess surfing the web must really tick you off - every major site has some
sort of AD or worse. Watching TV must be a total turn-off. Commercials and
all.

inexpensive and easy, invest in Softshare ECS. You get unlimited AS1, AS2,

logging, alerts, TP Management - all for about the same price as 3 AS2 seats
added-on to base GIS. Add Delta Enterprise for about $6500 and you have
