He is right though. But not the only game in town. I have used (installed, configured, etc..) the Sterling Commerce product - GIS, AS2 Edition; and most recently I am using a product called Nubridges (iSoft) Commerce Suite. Both are excellent. Both have a cost associated with them. There is a real cost (to purchase) and an intangible cost (also known as the learning curve) - training and experience can cure that. He was not 'selling' anything and imo not out of line. He was merely commenting on the huge misconception that most have that AS2 is 'expensive' and so are VAN's. Not if you do your homework. And unless people like Art and many others publicly state that there are in fact solutions out there that are NOT expensive and that do not gouge the end-user, how would anyone know? I take it, based on your own comments, that you must be a reseller as well and it gets under your skin when others (you can't compete with) make references to product ABC being better, cheaper and simpler to use. If you're not a reseller or consultant then learn from Art's comments - Softshare or not. It can help you do a better job by saving your company some $$. I guess surfing the web must really tick you off - every major site has some sort of AD or worse. Watching TV must be a total turn-off. Commercials and all. Sorry for waiting your time.
