I agree.  I wish that would have been offered to me.  I did have a
math professor who had written a text on Number Theory and I always
found his discussions of History fascinating.  My favorite was
Descartes.

My History of Stats was pretty limited to "When I was at ??
University..."
and "I met Mantel once..."  We used to call them the "begats"..."Well,
my professor studied under this guy who knew that guy who worked with
this guy who went to school with so and so who knew Pearson."
