I will bite too.... Sorry for the OT nature...

If you have followed the open source movement for the past couple of years,
you will find, that off the big corporations, i.e. IBM, Sun, Oracle,
Microsoft, BEA etc.. etc... IBM have possibly done the most for Open Source.
Their commitment to Linux and Open Source in general has been remarkable.
What a turnaround...

I think their commitment has practically shamed other big corps to follow
them.

Consider that they discarded their own web server and adopted Apache. They
contributed their superb XML parser to the Apache foundation and their SOAP
implementation too. Their Linux JDK though not OS, has made Linux a good
platform for Java development and pratically forced SUN to release one for
Linux. Not to mentioned Jikes.

Now, with WAS SE coming out as OS, AE can't be far away. As a member of the
Open Source movement yourself, you should be welcoming them .... It is only
going to benefit you.
And as Marc has quit succinctly mentioned, they are BIG !!!

I know folks in the IBM labs mention that as soon as they sort out most of
the IP issues, more s/w is to follow.

>From me, IBM, my congratulations.

BTW, with WAS SE, if you don't need Tivoli or if you don't want to use VAJ,
then don't use them. They are not necessary for WAS SE to run, administer or
develop to.
