Jean-Francois,

There have been only a few minor changes to the K2 since the major A to B change at SN 3000. To be specific, the Keying Waveshape change and the Temperature compensated PLL are the big changes (available as mod kits from Elecraft). Minor changes are the high level near-frequency signal handling mod (2 back to back diodes D40 and D41 - see rev F manual page 59) and the addition of C88, RFC15 and C91 on the bottom of the RF board (see all the instruction steps on page 52 of the Rev F manual - the cut indicated is not done on your RF board). If you wish to add these 2 minor changes, you will have to order the parts separately, there is no mod kit available. See the Rev F manual parts list for the Elecraft part numbers.

The keying waveshape mod requires updated firmware. Firmware changes for the options should not be required unless the new owner wants to add the K60XV option and may want the updated KSB2 firmware.

The option boards have not changed, but the standard filter for the KSB2 is now the 2.3 kHz bandwidth. Moving to the new bandwidth requires changing the capacitor values in the filter area. (same as the KI6WX 2.2 kHz bandwidth mod).

I don't believe I have forgotten anything, but if I did, I'm certain someone will correct me <G>

A friend of mine would like to buy this K2 as described below:

K2s, s/n 3155, which has the following options:
installed: KNB2, KAF2, KSB2 & K160M. I purchased this K2 in Dec. of 2002,
and built it in 2003. This K2 was built with the K2 toroid kit from "The
Toroidguy,"

Could someone tell me which modifications this K2 must be done to be at the same level of today's K2, Firmware upgrade, etc. ???
