I have just discovered something else. With RIT/XIT turned off, turning the RIT/XIT knob changes the frequency of the K3 and the displays on both K3 and P3. The rate is 0.1 kHz as if in "COARSE" tuning mode. I see no mention of this "feature" in the K3 manual.
I thought having the P3 connected to the K3 might cause some interaction so disconnected it -- same behavior on the K3. Maybe it has something to do with the date today. The goblins are doing it to us.
