Actually is easiest thing with Win7 is just typing "device manager" into the
"search programs and files" search field at the base of start menu all
programs, and click the result to get there. A nice feature with win 7.

Joe, this is where to start. You can get device manager several ways. One
way is to click your Start button to get the start menu. At the right,
you'll see a list of stuff, one of which is Computer. Right-click that, and
click Properties. Another window will appear, and Device Manager will be on
it. Click it and you'll soon know which port is assigned to your USB/Serial
converter.

When you see the converter's port, right-click it, and click properties. A
window will appear. There will be a tab called Port Settings. On that tab,
you can set the port's baud rate. Make it match the K3's. Then the utility
oughta work.
