Proof again that one cannot make a "standardize" something as personal as a key and please everyone.
I like the KXPD1 paddle. It's not my first choice for paddles (At home I use Scotia paddles when not on my Speed-X Bug) but I would not care to take either the Scotia or Speed-X into the field with me. I almost never exceed 30 wpm because virtually none of the stations I work exceeds that speed. My requirement for a key is something that I can comfortably use to "chew the rag" at 20 WPM or so for an hour or so and which will fit in the tiny bag my KX1 travels in along with an antenna and earbuds without danger of damaging it. With that criteria, the little KXPD1 is a perfect choice for me. 73, Ron AC7AC -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Doug Turnbull Sent: Saturday, September 07, 2013 12:10 PM To: 'EricJ'; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] [KX1] paddle question Hi Eric, I thought of the palm mini but like the idea of a paddle attached to the KX1/KX3. We agree the KX1 paddle sucks. Sorry Elecraft, I have an awful lot that is good to say about you but your KXPD1 is not one of them. Truth should not be suppressed. 73 Doug EI2CN ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
