Hi Bob I personally run quite a few shack DC items with mine including a 300w 2m amp along with a battery charger. The charger is one that charges an Optima back-up battery while the power is on keeps it charged quite well. After going through about 7 or 8 supplies most I still have I bought a Astron VS-70M and takes care of everything plus with the variable supply you can set the voltage you want.
