I have two SEC-1235M and I hate the terminal screws, I think they are aluminum and I broke them if removing power cable too much times I prefer a PS with black and red connectors so I can connect any cable and don´t worry about connectors. Except for the 1235 having voltage and current meters (the SS30 does not), there is little difference in performance. One thing that might affect your decision is that the 1235 has an (internally) adjustable output voltage. The SS30DV is fixed at 14.1V.
