and IF the ORION worked as it should have, out of the gate ... with a decent GUI ( & working) ,, they might be alive today.

I even drove down to their hamfest to look at the working ORION,,,   which was out from the front demo tent. Someone had plugged in headphones and the set shutdown,,back into the shop. A few months alter I cancelled my order.

That receiver by Doug Smith was , I DO BELIEVE, very close in architecture to the K3,  And quite the performer.
