Thanks for all helpful info. My K3 is now 10 years old and chugging along just fine. I changed out to the newer VFO boards and the newer I/O board.
What I am watching for is a new release of the P3SVGA which I signed up for at Hamvention. I am still so impressed with the K3 receiver that I never even think about a K4. Good wishes!
