Note that the K3 as displayed has NO provision for an internal battery. OTOH, there's enough empty space in a barebones model to fashion a new top cover with a battery holder.
And I note that apparently credit can be given for the basic 2.7k 5 pole roofing filter if you want to replace it with the 8 pole 2.8k filter on original shipment.
