I use Power Poles for all my 12 volt gear: radio power, chargers, other
electronic gadgets, and have always soldered the pins on. I have never
had a failure in years of using them. One small benefit of soldering,
for those of us cheapskates, is that they can be used again for other
purposes. Just release from the plastic housing with a jeweler's
screwdriver, unsolder, and resolder onto another application.
I use the same little screwdriver to push the pin into the housing, but
watch your fingers!
