Gary - K3 #83 works great with N1MM. Some of the features like "Wide and Narrow" filter switching are not yet coded for the K3 in N1MM but the basics - freq set, band-map click, cw keying, etc. work well. It's very nice to just use a single RS-232 straight-thru cable between the K3 and the laptop for CW keying.
My settings in N1MM Config: COM 7 set to K3 (your com will likely be different) CW/Other block checked Set: 4800, N, 8, 1, DTR = CW, RTS = PTT, Radio/VFO nr =1, Radio PTT Delay = 30, Radio PTT via command block checked CONFIG Menu setting in K3 > PTT-KEY = rts-dtr, RS232 = 4800 b Voila! While I have not tried it, others have reported that you can set the baud rate much higher as long as it is the same on both the K3 and in the N1MM config. Frankly, it behaves so well at the default that I've just left it there! Has anyone out there made their K3 work with DX4WIN and/or N1MM that could either provide the setup parameters, or at least point me in the direction to find same? If no answer here, then I'll go to the logging programs sites.
