Hi folks !

// it's a joke
Since my last mail about Lirc, I don't receive so much responses... Maybe
this part of the work don't interest you.
But if you can help for this problem, I will be very happy and forget that
you won't help me ;)

So with the little applet, and I think the best word is "notification", I
have a problem : What can I do to run it at the beginning of the session ?
Ye some shell scripting, but what kind of script. For the moment it works,
you can very easily start/stop/restart with a pretty UI :) the program
irexec (and not lircd, as my first thing). This program needn't to be run as
root, so it's a good point I think for end users. Well, be in the center of
the problem :

- applet (maybe specific development, for Gnome, Kde, because I think there
no standard, I've not found something in freedesktop.org)
- notification area, it's the same method for every environment.

So for the moment it's the notification area. But I don't like this, because
we must write some script to add the (give it a name) notifLirc, for every
users on a pc, or just for the user that installs the notifLirc. With an
applet, every users have the right to put the applet on their desktop, if
they want. So I think it's a better solution.

If some of you have idea, or know a standard for applet, please, please tell
me. Or if you think that the notif idea is good, explain why.

Thanks to you !!!
