A rewrite could go at least two ways:
1. Single links with an option where to go when you click them
- annoying if asked every time, would need a cookie
2. Additional links side by side
- more clutter, less clicks/cookies
As a user I hope that the canonical, unmangled, original link to YouTube to always be clickable,
even when visiting the website without JavaScript.
Please try the following:
- Open https://api.invidious.io/
- Open the first invidious instance with the best health (inv.nadeko.net as of
now)
- Type "emacs" in the search bar
- It takes me about 8s (without any cache) to fully load the video player in
the browser
This is a suboptimal user experience, in my opinion.
