I guess you have not looked at the Emacs codebase, nor used a recent
model.  Current models are already good enough that "real programmers
don't need them" is cosplay.  Serious FOSS is already using them, with
human review still on the hook.  The kernel has process for this.

If tool use makes someone an "inferior" developer, go tell the kernel
devs.  Start with Linus.  I would love to read it.
