My statement was that the argument is that it costs money to receive spam email, but that junk postal mail is ok because it is paid for by the sender. Spam email is most definitly NOT paid for by the sender for a bulk of the costs. The question is, at what level are the costs real costs vs imaginied costs (if you stopped getting spam today, and never receieve another one EVER, would your online costs drop? would your computer costs drop? Would it have ANY real impact on your finacial situation?) This argument is of course null and void in countries where you pay by the minute for your connection. But then, my arguments really are soley about impending USA laws and their fall out. Here in the states most people have access to unlimited internet connections for a flat fee.
