That is a GREAT method. I combine that with answering machine screening myself. The reason being, more and more companies are leasing voice lines. Many of those show up as "unknown" (and in fact is the leading reason that telemarketers and other unwanted calls show up that way). As more businesses lease lines, more legit traffic carries the "unknown" caller ID. A quick voice mail screen lets me know if it is someone I want to pick up or not.
