Unwanted telephone calls are illegal in Colorado. We have a "No Call
List" that people can sign up with by phone or Internet. Any solicitation
calls (there are some exceptions for, I think, political and
religious/non-profit, but I'm not sure about this) are subject to very
stiff fines and penalties. Faxes are included in this law.
