The one thing that strikes me is that your mail database is way too big. You should get "Emailer Archive" at the Fog City web site. http://www.fogcity.com/ There is a non-FileMaker version. In conjunction with this, put the AppleScript "Transfer to Archive" (enclosed) into your Emailer "AppleScripts" folder and it will appear on Emailer's AppleScripts menu. I've been using this for a long time now, and it is great. There is no need to keep a whole bunch in the database.
