On or about 9/5/02 11:41 AM Anna Silliman AKA [EMAIL PROTECTED] eruditely mused the following:
> The solution I've found is to 1) do a "typical >rebuild" then b) toss out Finder & System prefs, then >c) restart. Usually this works and Emailer will start >up again. (Sometimes I have to do the Advanced rebuild after >that). Then, a couple days later it happens again. While others have already made some suggestions, I think this may be some sort of Emailer file corruption. I had a major Emailer problem some time ago and discovered that the Address Book was corrupted. Somehow, I don't remember how, I was able to extract some or all of my address book. The solution to the problem was to dump the corrupted Address Book and start up with a new one. I now occasionally do an export of the address book data as a separate backup, but have not had to use it.
