OK. All this talk of corrupt databases and rebuids has made me decide to
finally do something about mine. But, I would like the most excellent
advice from the users on this list.

I have a VERY bad database right now. The current DB is 231.8MB and has a
SLEW of Orphaned Folders from previous rebuilds. Some of these folders
point to the same group of files.

I also have several folders that when you highlight them in the browser,
they appear empty, but if you double click the folder, you find the
contents. When I now try to create new folders, this is the way all new
folders work (wrong).

I also cannot search on these folders because if I search on a folder, it
actually searches the folder that appears when you highlight the folder.
Old mailactions still work an dfind the right home (Orphaned Folder) for
incoming mail.

Hmmm...what else...Oh, yeah, I guess it goes without saying that I cannot
archive this baby for the same reasons.

SO....what I was thinking is that I will reinstall Emailer (does anyone
have the updater from 2.0.1 to 2.0v3? I can't seem to locate mine, I
think it is on another computer that hasn't been restarted since we had
to redo the office after a flood) and somehow import the mail, address
book, mail actions, etc., etc. into the new install. I did this before,
but that was a LONG time ago and I am not sure I remember what exactly to
do and if there is anything I should be careful of, yada, yada, yada.

Anyone game for helping me?

Thank you! You guys are truely the best!

Tracy Lee
