In addition to the long list of features James wrote, it is a good 
surprise to notice that mail uses exactly like Emailer and its Microsoft 
successors OE ane entourage the > quote marks and Emailer color coding 
(like blue for 1st level and so on). BUT, in addition to that, Mail seems 
to use the IMHO incredibly clever excerpt bar and format=flowed encoding 
of Eudora. Outlook Express and Entourage do not. 

Amazingly, mail appears nevertheless to always use color coding when it 
displays incoming messages (Eudora does not seem to know how to do that), 
wheter the incoming message is encoded with format=flowed or simply with 
> marks. Mail also appears to be able to redirect messages like Emailer and 
Eudora do. 

I may find out mail is a good mail application for me. Some contributors 
to this list appear to use it already.
