Actually, it can be argued that Outlook on Mac is Emailer 3, if you like. Not that I would say this, but other people have. Exactly how is Juds fingerprints all over the place in Mail, when he's working for MS, anyway?
As a worthy Emailer successor, I'd rather put forward Powermail. Not perfect, but close enough for me. There's a cost, but as I decided not to keep my mac.com address I just got myself $49 to spend.
