I recently thought myself clever. Should have been a clue right there.
;-) I tried using one of my backups from the Emailer rebuild to test a
program that was chocking on importing my full Emailer DB.

I carefully worked on a backup, deleting files. Fortunately, I only
deleted the contents of a few folders. I didn't actually delete them so I
was able to retrieve most of them from the deleted folder.

But all my copies were affected, not just the one I worked on. So then,
where does Emailer store my db if not in the mail or the index files? How
in the future should I proceed to test delete a portion of the DB without
messing with my backup copies?

Dave
