But this method brings with it the high possibility of user error in mixing up which copy is in use. And, I have seen some apps that when reading a library of files, get confused and read some files from each set, which really messes things up. (although in all cases, those apps have been crappy, poorly programmed, and even worsely supported apps, so I venture to say that behavior is NOT the norm). I do seem to recall this thread having is basis in a user that was trying to check mail databases, and ended up with a bunch of copies, and was under the impression that all had been damaged, when in reality, it was simply user error in knowing which was in use at a given time.
