I have had similar problems. What I found to be the culprit are M$ files in which the new M$ (2000, I think) Office saves files with VERY long names that Emailer just plain ignores. I have then had to go on to AOL (blech!) and download the files manually -- having to rename them with smaller names even through using AOL. What happens is that all the new Office apps save files by taking the first words it sees in the doc as the file title if the person does not specify a name. NOT a very good idea IMHO! But people are ignorant and don't know the difference, just hit SAVE and ship. Isn't life easy! Check and see if that is your problem. If it is, you can aski your friend if she could save the file for you with a smaller name otherwise (unless you sign on with AOL) you never even know there was a file attached. Good Luck!
