I check the X-mailer header for platform clues and send Base 64 to PC users and binhex to Mac users. Or I just ask. If I need to send a file to many people I put it in 2 versions, One Zip and one binhexed stuffit archive on a ftp server and post the URL. I haven't received any report about "unopenable files" since I started this scheme. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
