Humm... interesting tidbit. I have a G3 card for my 6500 that I was never
able to get to work with it. Either the machine booted and the card
wasn't seen, or the machine hung at the start of boot.

I know the card is good as it works fine in a 4400. Since the 6400 and
6500 are the same motherboard and case designs, I wonder if I simply was
having a problem with the card being knocked loose from pressure in the
case.

Of course, it doesn't matter too much now... I moved to a 9600 a few
weeks ago, so my G3 card will be headed for permanent installation into a
4400 shortly... but it might be interesting to give it a whirl in the
6500 again but not screw the board back into place before trying to boot
it.
