I've findly located his old address book and imported it.
I've also located the strange middle land of the Mail Database. (Apparently, pre-crash, he had 2 one was much older. And one was a little more paired down and newer. I re-built the older and larger one back in August. I guess.) I'm now trying to set him so he can have
access to both.
But our real new problem is we seem to have lost his downloads. We get a lot of Spam around here (most of it in HTML), which registers as an attachment automatically downloads into his "Downloads" folder -- is there a way to stop that, either HTML as attachments or the downloading?
But he does get messages from people's whose messages he does want to read (clients, etc.) that send their email in HTML. However, all of those attachments seem to have been lost. The appear in the message, but when we select them, we get a -120 error and if I try to forward them to my machine, emailer tells me I can't forward the message because it can't find the attachment. Have they been written over? Where did they go? Does emailer just automatically generate a number for all the attachments whether it's previously been used before?
Any guidance here would be helpful.
Thanks again, folks,
Christopher
