If I'm not mistaken, what he REALLY said was that he admired the fact that Hitler was able to take himself from a poor gutter trash family and become the powerful leader that he was. In that respect, sure I admire Hitler too... it shows what you can accomplish if you are willing to dedicate yourself and work towards your goals.
