I would have to say that he can. 

He is a very VERY big supporter of one of the holocaust groups (don't 
recall the name right now). I pretty sure he in part does that out of 
guilt because IIRC, his father was in the Nazi party, and he feels since 
he has the means, he should spend a good chunk of it trying to make up 
for the horrors that his father committed. He also does not do this in a 
"public" manner, that is, he doesn't hold publicity stints to go "hey 
look at how nice of a guy I am", he just does it and keeps quite about it 
because he isn't doing it for the good PR, but doing it because he 
genuinely feels he should.

I would say that is a good sign of someone who is well aware of the 
distinction between admiring Hitler for what he achieved conceptually, vs 
admiring him for what he achieved in reality.
